Jay Rodriguez sealed Southampton's south-coast derby victory at Bournemouth with a thunderous volley, with Nathan Redmond's face supplying the assist.
The Saints striker produced an instinctive finish five minutes from time to secure only the second Premier League victory on the road for Claude Puel's men.
Redmond bundled his way to the edge of the Bournemouth area and danced inside two feeble Bournemouth challenges before the ball bobbled up, struck him square in the face and floated into the path of Rodriguez.
Despite having seen his last two seasons dogged by injury, Rodriguez unerringly showed he hadn't lost his eye for goal, spinning on the spot before leathering a dipping volley into the top corner of Artur Boruc's goal.
It was a strike fit to win any game and was all the more sweeter for Rodriguez, who looks to have put his injury heartache firmly behind him.
