MEYER IN, SON OUT AT SPURS?
‘SPURS are lining up a £30million summer move for Germany starlet Max Meyer,’ it says on The Sun online. And who are we to doubt The Sun online? They claim that Meyer was the choice of Mauricio Pochettino in the summer and Moussa Sissoko was the consolation prize when Schalke asked for £45m. They are presumably hoping the price will drop in the summer with Meyer entering the final year of his contract.

One man who could exit Tottenham is Heung-min Son, who is – according to the Evening Standard – a target for PSG. They are close to signing Julian Draxler but could move for Son in the summer. Also likely to leave is poor Kevin Wimmer, wanted by several clubs in the Bundesliga.

HAMMERS WANT DEFOE…AND BACCA
Could Jermain Defoe return to London with West Ham? According to The Sun and Daily Mail, the Hammers are set to launch a surprise bid for the 34-year-old striker, with £6m and a player being offered to Sunderland for the only man who ever looks remotely like scoring for them. Our take? Sunderland would have to be loop-de-loop to sell their only real goalscorer to a team not far above them in the table.

And then there’s Carlos Bacca. He almost joined West Ham in the summer for £26m but changed his mind late in the window and decided to stay at AC Milan.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic said on Thursday:  “Maybe. We tried. He was one of our targets in the summer. It was in the papers and it was true. But then the deal didn’t go through because of a few things and he decided to stay at Milan. He is still there. He doesn’t play a lot which is also an issue.”

AND THE REST
Liverpool are hoping to sign 20-year-old Brazil forward Gabriel Barbosa…Real Madrid see Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as their long-term number one…Brentford put £15m price tag on West Brom and Norwich target Scott Hogan.
