Pep Guardiola, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, and diving were among the topics of discussion on this week's Sunday Supplement.
Guardiola's tactics were analysed following Manchester City's 4-2 defeat to Leicester on Saturday evening.
"It was like Guardiola had not seen Leicester last season and the way they play," said the Daily Telegraph's Sam Wallace. "They played them like last season never really happened."
There was also discussion about Ozil and Sanchez after speculation that the duo could leave Arsenal in the near future.
Both players have 18 months remaining on their current deals with the Gunners.
The panel also discussed the best method to combat diving after Robert Snodgrass was criticised for diving to win a penalty in Hull's 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
"Retrospective punishment doesn't benefit the team on the day which is why if video assistant referees are introduced it will be for that sort of incident," said the Daily Mirror's Andy Dunn. "It's not Palace who would benefit if Snodgrass was banned."
