Liverpool will look to extend their unbeaten home record to 26 matches as relegation-threatened Swansea City visit Anfield on Saturday.

Despite their strong record at home, Liverpool's win at Plymouth in the FA Cup on Wednesday was their first win in five games in all competitions.

That run of results included two draws in the Premier League and they head into this weekend seven points behind league leaders Chelsea, who play Hull City on Super Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1.

Swansea lost 4-0 at home to Arsenal in Paul Clement's first Premier League game in charge last weekend, meaning they have lost 14 of their last 20 league games.

Despite being rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, an unlikely three points at Anfield would lift them outside the relegation zone if Sunderland and Crystal Palace lose.

Team news

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Nathaniel Clyne are expected to be fit. Both players returned to training on Friday after muscle and rib injuries respectively.

Jurgen Klopp will restore his big names as he fields his first-choice line-up following the FA Cup replay win over Plymouth and that could mean a first league start since November 26 for Philippe Coutinho.

Swansea new boys Martin Olsson and Tom Carroll are available, but Luciano Narsingh's debut is set to be delayed again as the Dutch winger has yet to recover from a calf problem.

Leon Britton could also miss out with an unspecified injury, while Neil Taylor is absent once more with a fractured cheekbone.

Opta stats

Liverpool have won five of their last six Premier League games against Swansea, losing only once (1-3 at Liberty Stadium in 2015-16).

The Swans have yet to win at Anfield in the Premier League, drawing on their first visit but losing four consecutive games since, shipping 14 goals in the process.

The Reds are one of two Premier League sides yet to lose on home turf (W7 D2), along with Spurs.

Swansea haven't won back-to-back away games within the same Premier League season since May 2015.

The Reds have trailed for just 180 minutes this season, the league's lowest figure, while the Swans have been behind for 731 minutes, second only to Sunderland (744).

Swansea have conceded three or more goals in 11 of their 21 Premier League fixtures this season. This is more than they have done so in any other previous Premier League campaign.

Merson's prediction

It's a big weekend. If you look at a few of the top teams you'd like to say they've got easy games and they cannot afford to slip up. This is one of them. The only thing that can beat Liverpool here is complacency. We've just seen what Arsenal did to Swansea, who despite losing 4-0 did okay. I just can't see anything other than a very comfortable home win.
