Swansea's proposed loan deal for Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez has been called off, according to Sky sources
Swans boss Paul Clement is keen to strengthen in defence and had been working on a deal for the 27-year-old to join for the rest of the campaign.
Lopez, who signed for Benfica from Getafe in 2014, has struggled for first-team appearances in Portugal this season.
He has made only five league appearances and and nine overall in all competitions, and he has not featured in a game since November.
Lopez made 16 appearances for Benfica last season and only eight in his first campaign for the Eagles.
Swansea have so far signed Luciano Narsingh from PSV Eindhoven, Tom Carroll from Tottenham and Martin Olsson from Norwich this month.
