Mario Gotze

GOTZE GOING BACK HOME…
On Saturday we were giddy with the gossip that Mario Gotze could come to the Premier League but actually end up at Tottenham rather than Liverpool, but on Monday we come back to earth with a bump: ‘Mirror Sport understands Gotze is expected to opt for a move back to Dortmund to revive his career over a switch to the Premier League.’

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s £26.3m move to Manchester United has obviously freed some funds for Dortmund to move for Gotze, who would cost only £20m just three years after he left for Bayern Munich for over £30m. Gotze won the Bundesliga twice with the club now managed by Thomas Tuchel.

KANTE FOR REAL MADRID?
You can’t help thinking that if Real Madrid have decided that Paul Pogba is way too expensive at £100m (he is), and sign N’Golo Kante for £20m, then they have officially won the summer transfer window. AS claim that Madrid will push through with a move for the Leicester man, available for relative peanuts because of a clause in his contract.

Leicester could then move for Portugal’s brick sh*thouse William Carvalho, linked with the Foxes as well as Everton and Soouthampton by The Sun this rainy Monday morning.

FELIPE ANDERSON TO CHELSEA?
Remember when the Lazio midfielder was absolutely definitely going to join Manchester United? Well now it’s Chelsea who are interested and Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that his new agent Giuliano Bertolucci has strong ties with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. The one-time Brazilian international disappointed last season with just seven goals and five assists and it is thought that Lazio are willing to sell him for the right price.

AND THE REST
Arsenal’s reported target Arda Turan is available for as little at £23m as Barcelona look to cut their losses on the midfielder…Saido Berahino has rejected a four-year contract offer from West Brom…Carlos Bacca’s agent will meet with West Ham on Tuesday to discuss the Milan striker’s possible move to Upton Park this summer…Former Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo is set to join Middlesbrough on loan from Valencia…Southampton are set to sign Bayern Munich’s 20-year-old midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in a £12.8m deal.
