West Brom boss Tony Pulis has insisted he will be busy preparing for his side's next game in the Premier League rather than celebrating reaching the 1,000th game of his managerial career.
Pulis is only the 25th manager in English football to achieve the feat and as a result will receive a special award at the 25th League Managers Association (LMA) Hall of Fame Awards Dinner in May next year.
Pulis' 1000th managerial game saw his side travel to Stoke City and initially it looked as if West Brom might be heading back to the Hawthorns defeated, until a stoppage time equaliser from Salomon Rondon levelled the score at 1-1.
Both the draw against a dominant opponent and Pulis' own personal milestone might be cause to celebrate, but the Baggies' manager said he was much more interested in focusing on the job in hand.
"Straightaway how did Sunderland get on?," he said when asked how he would reflect on the game. "We play Sunderland next.
"I'll be taking a video home of that to have a look either tonight or tomorrow and just have a look at what they've done and what they haven't done and it's onto that one. That's management really, you just get onto the next one.
"There's no reflected glory. You've just got to worry about the next game and that's what I'll be doing."
In contrast to Mark Hughes' post-match interview, Pulis argued West Brom had deserved to come away with the draw and said he was pleased with his players' performance.
"We haven't got the array of talent that Stoke have got but the players don't stop," he said.
"If we'd lost I'd have been really disappointed because there wasn't much in the game. The performance of the players and the attitude of the players never stopped."
