Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has admitted his interest in managing in the Premier League, after reports he is on Arsenal's radar.

Jardim has been reported in a national newspaper as being on a four-man Arsenal shortlist - with Thomas Tuchel, Roger Schmidt and Massimo Allegri - to replace Arsene Wenger should he leave the club in the summer.

Wenger's current contract expires at the end of the season and there is yet to be an agreement over whether he will continue his reign at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger says he will be managing next season even if he leaves Arsenal

Speaking ahead of the first leg of his side's Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester City, Jardim said: "All coaches and players like playing at the highest level.

"The Premier League is a very important championship, perhaps the most important in Europe. Everybody would one day like to have the opportunity to work there.

"But we also have our project in Monaco, and we have a duty to this club. For me, because of the respect I have for the club, I am going to give 200 per cent."

Jardim's side are currently top of Ligue 1 and have scored more goals than any other side in Europe's top-five leagues this season.

Monaco beat Arsenal's arch-rivals Tottenham twice as they won Group E to set up the tie with Manchester City.
