Despite beating West Ham United 3-2 on Saturday afternoon, Bournemouth still missed two first-half penalties at the Vitality Stadium.

The home side's first spot-kick was awarded after just eight minutes when Sofiane Feghouli hauled down Charlie Daniels in the box.

However, Josh King, who had netted from the spot in last weekend's 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, casually side-footed wide of Darren Randolph's left-hand post, the striker's first penalty miss of the season.

When the Cherries were then handed another spot-kick nine minutes before half-time after Jose Fonte tripped Marc Pugh, King - who had earlier equalised for his team with a well-taken strike - handed penalty-taking duties to fellow frontman Benik Afobe.

Incredibly, though, Afobe placed his effort too close to Hammers goalkeeper Randolph as Bournemouth became the first team since Aston Villa against Wimbledon in 1998 to miss two first-half penalties in a Premier League match.
